How do I place an order?
There are three easy ways to give! Choose the method of ordering most convenient for you:
- Online: Go online to nature.org/gifts. (This makes your gift go to work faster and further and helps us save on much needed funds.)
- Phone: Call us toll free at (800) 84-ADOPT, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Eastern Time. (Please have your catalog order form and credit card ready when you call.)
- Mail: Complete the order form, include your preferred method of payment and drop in the mail to:

How do I pay for my order?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards for online and phone orders. For mail orders, we also accept personal check.
What items are included in the gift package?
For Adopt an Acre®, Adopt a Coral Reef or Plant a Billion Trees*:
(Excludes Plant a Billion Trees)
*Excludes Adopt an Acre Symbolic Adoption and Choose Your Acre gift packages.
**Magnet sets are not available for Adopt an Acre locations in the United States.
All Other Gift Memberships:
You can find printable gift announcements and Adopt an Acre certificates, which you can personalize, on our web site.
Can I add a personal note to my gift recipient on the certificate?
No, unfortunately it is not possible to do so. However, you can select to send your gift recipient an e-card with a personal message as you order online. If you did not order online, you can still send an e-card with a personalized message or download and print one of our e-certificates and a special gift announcement.
Can I have a different name on the certificate than the gift card?
Yes. On the online form, please enter in the name as you would like it to appear on the certificate in the "Name for Certificate" field. By phone, just tell the Member Care representative this information.
Can I change my order?
We will do our best to make your changes before your order is processed. Because of our fast turnaround time, we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to intercept or change any order once it has been submitted. It’s crucial that you make sure your order is correct and final before you place it. This will help avoid the process and cost of reprinting. Call us toll free at (800) 628-6860.
Whom can I call to help me with my order?
If you encounter difficulty placing your order with our online catalog, please call our Member Care team at (800) 628-6860, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Eastern Time. Otherwise email us and we will contact you in a timely manner.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
The Nature Conservancy is a non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax-deductible as allowable by law. Please refer to the acknowledgment letter or email if processed online to determine how much of your gift is tax-deductible.
How does my gift help The Nature Conservancy?
Whichever gift you choose, it will help protect the irreplaceable lands and waters that could vanish or be irreversibly altered without your help. None of our work would be possible were it not for people like you who love nature and are personally committed to helping the Conservancy protect some of the most remarkable wonders in our natural world.
Can I give a gift at the last minute and receive my order the same day (e.g., by downloading a digital certificate and/or sending an e-card)?
If your gift is time sensitive, please use our online option to give. Online, you can select your gift, select an e-card to announce your gift on any day you choose and after your gift is processed, download, print and personalize an e-certificate and a gift announcement card, which you can fold and fit inside a card. Through December 16, 2011, the gift package itself will ship via USPS Priority Mail as a special thank-you.
How long will it take for my gift to arrive?
Since The Nature Conservancy is a non-profit, we try to be as efficient as possible – putting more of your contribution to work. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee deliveries. We ship gift packages as expeditiously as possible once a donation has been made and gifts made through December 16, 2011 will ship via USPS Priority Mail as a special thank-you.
Can I send a gift to ship outside the US?
Yes. While we do ship these gifts via Priority International Mail, we cannot make any guarantee on the shipping time. We estimate that gifts will arrive for international destinations within 2-3 weeks of processing the donation.
